Raking launches The Speech Writer by Bani Abidi at London’s Free Word Centre. The Speech Writer is a fictional documentary presented in the form of 10 flip books that follow a day-in-the life of a retired speech writer. The artist will be in London for this book signing event.

Aisha Khalid wins The People’s Choice at the Jameel Prize 2011. Kashmiri Shawl and Name, Class, Subject by Aisha Khalid along with the other works from the prize are currently on display in the Jameel Gallery of Islamic Art, Room 18a, V&A Museum.

Aisha Khalid is shortlisted for the Jameel Prize 2011. As a part of the exhibition, her two works: Kashmiri Shawl (2011) and Name, Class, Subject (2010) are on a show at V&A from 21 July to 25 September. The winner will be announced on 12 September.
